Director of Legal Research

As the director of legal research for the National Policy & Legal Analysis Network to Prevent Childhood Obesity (NPLAN), Samantha helps identify the program's legal research needs and oversees the work of expert researchers from leading institutions around the country. Samantha has an extensive background in a broad range of legal issues relating to tobacco control and obesity prevention. Prior to joining PHLP, Samantha worked as a fellow with the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation; an associate at Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati; a federal law clerk for Chief Judge Marilyn Hall Patel of the Northern District of California; and a case writer for Harvard Business School. She is a graduate of Harvard University (magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa) and Yale Law School.
