NPLAN’s advisory board is comprised of the co-chairs of the learning communities and several additional national leaders with relevant expertise. The board

• consults on the development and dissemination of resources to NPLAN’s audiences;
• ensures NPLAN provides an open forum for information exchange and debate; and
• advises NPLAN on new issues as they emerge.

The board provides the kind of collaborative governance required to ensure NPLAN is developing the right resources to make a difference in the childhood obesity prevention movement.
