Although the obesity epidemic has an impact on all Americans, Blacks, Latinos, American Indian and Alaska Native, Pacific Islander, and lower-income people are more likely to be obese. NPLAN’s training tools and technical assistance are geared at law and policy solutions that support obesity prevention in general, but we also keep in mind the special needs of communities disproportionately affected by the epidemic.
